Beach Trip to Sepang Goldcoast and Port Dickson

On the 13th of June, which is about 2 weeks back, we, Mak&Wenni, MC&Steph, Liang, Yap, In June, Shuk and Shin went on a twin beach trips. We didn't swim, nor played with water; but had picnic and barbecue instead. The idea came from Mak at a sudden one supper, few are not able to go because of the limited time.

In June, Mak&Wenni and Shin went to Carrefour Subang the day before to get all the stuff needed for the picnic and barbecue. We set out in the morning of Sunday for breakfast, dim sum, at Maxim nearby Shin's house. Then we went to Sepang Goldcoast as our first destination for picnic.

We then continue on to the second half of the trip - setting off to Port Dickson. We reached there, have a breather, walk around, before setting up the fire and burn away!

The original cheese cake by Miki Ojisan no Mise

Feeling insipidity being sicken by glutting into cakes with high amount of sweetness or ice creams made of none other than sugars and milks which increase your body calories despite the advertised low-fat/fat-free slogan of which you then cheat yourself that 1 or 2 spoonful wouldn't hurt but then you continue swallowing down cups by cups until 1 day you step on the bathroom scale and realised you got 5kg increment over the last 2 days?

Well people, why don't you try this original cheese cake which cost at only RM20 for the whole that gives you about 6 or 8 slices?

The Miki Ojisan no Mise is famous for its relentless effort on making cheese cake the way it used to be; freshest ingredients without additional preservatives from the oven. Despite the lack of publicity, it still remains 1 of the best cheese cake baker in town since 10 years+ ago.

There are 2 types of cheese cake, the original and chocolate flavoured. Both being low in fat and sugar. This explain the lack of eternal sweetness which cloys your taste, and the tender texture when you bite in it.

To better taste it, eat before putting in the fridge. The expiring date will be 3 days from the date you bought it.

Food: 4.5/5
Verdict: Great texture, perfect moisture and mild sweetness. Eat immediately while it is fresh.

The Wooters gathered at Teh's pan mee stall for a late lunch. We discussed a lot and came up with an idea of spending the night at Andy's as it is economical and time saving without having to be caught in jam compared to the situation of going to The Library at e@Curve, Mutiara Damansara. Then, another idea came up; Barbecue. We therefore split up to get the tools and stuff needed for this sudden change in plan. All regrouped at Andy's by 9pm and the others arrived at about 10pm; the party started. Here are the pictures.

After much eating we all plan to have a cars shoot out as it's the first time ever for us all to gather over a long period of time. All then parked their cars and here it is,

Badminton

Right, Badminton.

Some of the members really enjoy doing sports for what reason I do not know. The pure excitement of brandishing the racket and releasing a force that will leave the shuttlecock swooshing pass the net at the centre of the court in such a speed is very hard to define. You have to really try a game or two in Badminton as it will left you feeling hype, lower your stress (unless you feel it's stressful to even play a game), and cut down calories; as opposed to being tired.

We have weekly Badminton matches every Thursday evening. Time varies for different locations:

1. Pandan Heights condominium, Pandan Perdana, KL - 8-10pm
2. 3K Community Hall, SS13, Subang Jaya, Selangor - 9.30-11.30pm

Please note that the location, time and date will be announced weekly prior to the match-day by phone call or sms. Any change in details are probable as we do not book the court in season.

Also note that shuttlecocks are shared among the active players; price varies from RM36-50 per stick. Please wear appropriate attire, short sleeve tee, short pants and shoes if you wish to join us.

Our first food review falls on the Korean cuisine. It was somehow planned as we researched on which restaurant provides the best combination in what they offer and also the cost. We chose Kang San E after much consideration. This B.B.Q. restaurant is famous for its marinated pork, or gal-bi as other reviews stated on the internet.

Owned by a native Korean, the workers consist of Koreans whom are capable of speaking 3 languages; Korean, Mandarin and English.

The waiter is very patience when explaining stuff to us, and it took a while for us to choose which to eat and also what to add on. We were first served by the usual drinks and side dishes (which are bottomless). Then, the waiter will cut and barbecue the meat for us until it's properly cooked to the best condition.

We ordered pork bacon strips, marinated beef (bul-go-gi) and marinated pork (gal-bi-jjim) or which the last 1 were brewed to its finest; tender meat covered with tasty sauce to result in such lovely taste. You’ll fall in love with it in the first bite. Savour the moment. Besides, if you ordered 2 BBQ sets or more, you’ll be entitled with a free shaved ice and watermelons for free. We got the red bean paste shaved ice in this case.

They will change the barbecue tray and charcoal occasionally so there’s no problem with sticky or dirty pan and charcoal poisoning.

Editors’ notes:

Overall the experience is great. The food taste is above average. Because the restaurant is located within Korean town, the environment gives you such pleasure of dining with a lot of Koreans around. Good for those who are into Korean lifestyles. The hygiene is good. This restaurant is recommended if you really hunger for Korean BBQ.

Welcome to the Club Wooters blog! This being a blog, will feature activities and happenings that revolved around our club.

Here is a brief introduction about us:

The name "WooTeRs" is derived from the word "Woot"; an exclamation of joy and excitement. Therefore, it is general that this club/organization lead to the enjoyment of its very own members in whatever activities carried out (excluding law-infringing activities). The name "Wooters" came from the very idea of Adrian, where the then members of the group took it and fortified the club to the hands of the President, Mak. There are 19 active members currently that are unique in their own way and personalities. Watch this club soar higher as time allows. Further explanation will be given only through request (viable only when we feel like it, not really possible though). Peace y'all.
